Mount Vernon, NY DEMOCRATIC district leader and community activist Samuel L. Rivers today announced that he has filed a police report with the Mount Vernon Police Department (Incident # 11-45775) and has contacted the United States Department of Justice to investigate a death threat he received after the press conference held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 by a staffer of Mayoral candidate Ernie Davis.
“Ernie Davis has proven that he is a street thug and that he will do anything to steal his way back in office so that he can steal from the public again”, said Rivers. Upon arriving home early Saturday morning, Rivers said he saw approximately 12 post cards and a piece of campaign literature from the Ernie Davis camp depicting Rivers’ as a “career criminal”. “I have never been convicted of any crime” said Rivers.
“Ernie Davis is trying to deflect the attention off of his criminal record and those tactics will not work” said Rivers. “Mount Vernon is a safer place because Ernie’s grandson, a gun toting hoodlum was taken off the street and jailed for robbing taxi drivers trying to earn an honest living in Mount Vernon” “Ernie’s grandson must have picked up his criminal behavior from his grandfather, but wasn’t as slick and got caught” Rivers added.
“Ernie also fails to mention to the public that he was sued for interfering with his grandson’s criminal case and altering the crime stats”.
“This is serious business” said Rivers. “I am taking Ernie’s death threat seriously”. “The Mount Vernon Police are in Ernie’s pocket so I must take this to a higher level” “Ernie was already implicated as having a major role in torching my car as heard on the John Boykin tape”. “He has surrounded himself with the most violent and dangerous thugs in Mount Vernon”
Democratic district leader Samuel Rivers said he will also present new evidence that he has found additional properties in New York City that will prove that Ernie Davis committed additional acts of mortgage fraud.
