Embattled Mount Vernon City Councilwoman Lisa Copeland is at again.  Sources have told Mount Vernon Exposed that Copeland is off her medication for bi-polar disorder.  Her recent tirades in public, especially at City Council meetings have people questioning her mental fitness to carry out her duties as an official City Councilwoman.

Just last Wednesday at a City Council meeting on the record Copeland went berserk after a community activist questioned Lisa Copeland about why she hasn’t filed Campaign Financial Disclosure Reports since 2013.  Copeland was also asked about trying to get her friend, Donna Jackson, who currently works as the Executive Assistant to Superintendent of Schools Ken Hamilton, a job working with the City Council and an immediate $35K raise.

Copeland was also warned that she will be ousted next election over these scandals and she fired back by stating ”No one can stop me from being re-elected, this is my city”.  This is not the first reckless stating coming from Copeland.  Copeland recently told her fellow Councilmembers that she has undue influence in Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and his office and can get anyone locked up or investigated.  Copeland even said that if it wasn’t for her, Schneiderman wouldn’t even have been elected. 

Copeland also said on the record, that she has a meeting tomorrow morning to me with Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to discuss getting two of her political rivals arrested and investigated and immediately after that, she has an appointment with the New York State Board of Elections. 

Copeland escaped federal prosecution after she intentionally shredded documents from the City Clerk’s office when the Feds were investigating former Mayor Ernie Davis.  Copeland purposely destroyed documents pertinent to the investigation, including, but not limited to, Financial Disclosure Forms.

For decades Elected Officials and Appointed Officers of the City of Mount Vernon have been fleecing the residents and taxpayers of the city. The latest example comes from, not an elected official or appointed officer, but a former Mt Vernon City Clerk and current Democratic City Council Nominee, Ms. Lisa A. Copeland.

A resident of Mt. Vernon, who is a home-owner, tax payer and lifelong resident, saw the City Council candidate getting out of her car and putting an official City of Mount Vernon Restricted Use Parking Permit in her window to avoid having to pay the parking meter, as she went into a local Mt. Vernon business.

After further investigation, Mount Vernon Exposed has discovered that Lisa Copeland has been illegally using this parking pass for quite some time now. How much has she cheated the citizens and taxpayers of Mt Vernon by blatantly avoiding to pay her fair share of parking fees?

On the parking permit it says they are intended for vehicles in use for Official Business for the City of Mount Vernon. Copeland is currently not employed by the City of Mount Vernon and while she was the highest vote-getter in the 2015 Democratic Primary, she has yet to win the office of City Council with the General Election, still some 25 days away.

Elected Officials and Appointed Officers have been taking advantage of the system for decades, now we have City Council Candidates taking the same liberties, while hard working business owners, taxpayers and residents are receiving tickets when the money runs out in their meters.

Copeland, who is part of everything we complain about, as far as what wrong with City Hall going back to her days as City Clerk and is a longtime Democratic Party and Davis Administration loyalist. If she feels she can rob taxpayers while running for office, residents really need to think hard, come Election Day, and ask is this the kind of continued corruption we want in City Hall.

Members of the Fleetwood Citizens Society told online news magazine Black Westchester, they believe she is a puppet for Davis, after the City Council Candidate Forum, held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at The Riverside Memorial Chapel, located at 21 Broad Street. The residents expressed their dissatisfaction with Davis by voting him out in the primary. All down with his corrupt administration need to go and in this case need to not be voted in.

With such an important election coming up in just over three weeks, we need to really be sure of the qualities of the person(s) we help put in officer with our votes. It’s time for change and Copeland is part of the corrupt culture we are trying to get out of City Hall.

At the very least at the next City Council Meeting, Wednesday, October 14^, we need to ask the ‘why are Copeland and several others who are not City Hall employees granted these Parking Permits, that are to be used for official City Business, so they can get out of paying for parking while the rest of us, who are not friends or family members of City Hall have to pay?’ While the rest of us are receiving tickets for everything from the time on the meter running out to alternate side of the street parking in the winter when there are mounds of snow, the city is unable or unwilling to remove and there is no place to park?

We know the city is in desperate need of money but it shouldn’t come at the hands of the hard working residents who are already heavily taxed, who no services to show for it and the Copelands continue to get favors like parking permits to avoid paying parking fees.

Copeland, because of her long history with the Mafia-styled run Davis Administration and Reggie Lafayette run MVDCC, believes the rules do not apply to her. It’s time to send a message to City Hall and say stop fleecing the residents of Mt Vernon, by not voting for Lisa Copeland on November 3^rd.

WESTCHESTER DEM BOSS REGGIE LAFAYETTE SECRETLY WORKING BEHIND SCENES ON SEN. THOMPSON'S CAMPAIGN

On Thursday, September 10, 2015 Democrats in the City of Mount Vernon overwhelmingly casted their vote and support for Richard Thomas for Mayor, Andre Wallace and Lisa Copeland for City Council, and Adrian Armstrong for City Court Judge.

The outcome of the Democratic Primary didn't sit well with the status quo as their power structure and the source of their income (corruption) is coming to a screeching halt. 

Unable to show good sportsmanship and support the winner of the Democratic Primary, several bitter and angry Democrats are now trying to stage a coup thinking they are going to defeat Democratic Mayoral Nominee, Richard Thomas. 

The ringleader behind the coup in for embattled Mayor Clinton Young who was the lowest vote getter in the Democratic Primary.  Young received 454 votes.  Young has been making calls around the Mount Vernon Community trying to garner support for embattled Senator Ruth Hassell Thompson who came in third place during the Democratic Primary.

There is also another player hard at work trying to disrupt progress in the City of Mount Vernon.  Enter Lisa Copeland.  Lisa Copeland was a corrupt City Clerk who intentionally destroyed thousands of pages of documents when Federal Agents were probing Mayor Ernest Davis and Mount Vernon City Hall.

Clinton Young and Copeland have joined forces and now they have the key ingredients to help Ruth Hassell Thompson win the general election.  Sources have confirmed that Westchester Dem Crime Boss Reggie Lafayette is secretly working behind the scenes helping Ruth Hassell Thompson will the general election.

Reggie Lafayette must come clean at once and publicly call on Sen. Thompson, a Democrat, to abandon her campaign and to support the Democratic nominee, Richard Thomas. 

One can assume that LaFayette is working behind the scenes to help Sen. Thompson because Lafayette still is not allowing Richard Thomas and Andre Wallace access to the Mount Vernon Democratic City headquarters even though they were victorious during the primary. 

The political insider that members of the Young camp and Thompson camp were secretly meeting in Harlem last week on Frederick Douglas Blvd discussing their plan of attack against Richard Thomas.

CRIME BOSS REGGIE LAFAYETTE Mount Vernon candidate Lisa Copeland has recently went on a rant on her Facebook page.  In a statement on her Facebook page she accuses "outsiders" for making a name for themselves for bringing up issues that she claimed are untruths. Copeland was not specific on what untruths were told neither did she bring up any facts to the subject she was speaking about. CORRUPT FORMER CITY CLERK LISA COPLAND Lisa Copland is the third cast member of the criminal syndicate ticket put together by Westchester Crime Dem Boss Reginald Lafayette.  Lisa Copeland, by her own admission, has been involved in the "Costra Nostra" Style of politics that currently runs the City Of Mount Vernon since she was 14 years old.  Electing Lisa Copeland as a City Councilperson would be a travesty to the taxpayers of Mount Vernon.  The embattled former City Clerk obstructed federal investigators by purposely destroying financial disclosure statements and other documents of Mayor Ernie Davis and other city officials.   LISA COPLAND RUNNING MATE JOHN BOYKIN Copland specifically called out Westchester Democratic Chairman, Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee Chairman and Board of Elections Commissioner Reginald Lafayette, Mount Vernon City Council President Marcus Griffith, and City Clerk George Brown and the fraternal organization of the Masons for not doing anything, but she was never clear on what was not done. CONVICTED CRIMINAL MAYOR ERNIE DAVIS The Facebook statement of Copeland has clearly shown that there is a riff in the Democratic ticket put together by Crime Boss Lafayette. Copeland is on the Democratic Party line with the Mayor on Probation Ernie Davis, but there is no secret in Mt. Vernon political circles that Copeland is constantly seen at events and social gatherings with Sen. Ruth Hassle Thompson. Maybe she is questioning her own party loyalty. Lastly, Copeland goes on to say that she has a lawsuit ready for those who decide to right anything about her.  Unfortunately, Copeland has failed her due diligence in understanding her place as a public official who is running for office.  Lisa Copeland is a very delusional and narcissistic person.  She will stop at noting to get elected.  Lisa has previously ran for Westchester County Clerk (2x), Comptroller, and even was in talks with Crime Boss Lafayette to become a Judge in 2018. To become a judge one must first be a lawyer, and to become a lawyer, one must go to law school.  Lisa Copeland has never attended law school.  The arrogance of this pompous individual is just one more reason why the endorsed candidates of Crime Boss Lafayette must be defeated on September 10, 2015.  These individuals are: ERNEST D. DAVIS LISA COPELAND JOHN BOYKIN The Fact of the Matter is; Supreme Court decisions make it extremely difficult for a public figure – especially anyone running for public office – to win a libel case even if what is said about them is false. What was said in a Special Report in 2004 bears repeating: "Candidates have a legal right to lie to voters just about as much as they want." There is no federal truth-in-advertising law that applies to political ads, and the very few states that have tried such legislation have had little or no success. Regarding private lawsuits, the Supreme Court held in the landmark Times v. Sullivan case in 1964 that a public official can’t collect damages for a defamatory statement – even if it is false – unless he or she can prove "that the statement was made with knowledge of its falsity or with reckless disregard of whether it was true or false." Proving that somebody knew something was false is a very tough thing to do. And a defendant can always claim that he or she believed the false statement to be true, or can show that there was at least a grain of truth to it, and thus claim that there was no "reckless disregard" for the truth. Either Copland is talking off the cuff about a lawsuit being prepared or her legal council is ignorant to the fact of already established case law that has established that she has no legal bearing to file anything.  Copeland’s Facebook rant is more proof that the Mount Vernon Democratic Party, under the leadership of Reginald Lafayette is lacking candidates with intellectual fortitude.  .
