United Black Clergy President enters Quid Pro Quo arrangement with former School Board Trustee and criminal Omar McDowell’s wife to hire her as a Parent Liaison

On orders from Reggie LaFayette and the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee, United Black Clergy Mafia President Pastor Rev. Troy DeCohen accused School Board Trustee Lesly Zamor, without one iota of evidence, of swindling the school district of $2.4M.

Community members are outraged that a so-called member of the clergy  would stoop so low as to attack a School Board Trustee in front of a live audience at the School Board meeting held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

Sources say the United Black Clergy Mafia is upset that they couldn’t strong-arm and extort School Board Trustee Lesly Zamor into giving the United Black Clergy Mafia contracts for the $108M bond recently voted on by City of Mount Vernon taxpayers. In the exchange for this quid pro quo arrangement, Alicia McDowell, wife of former School Board Trustee Omar McDowell, was able to keep her job as a parent liaison. The Bible teaches us in Mark 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he, will hate the one, and love the other; or else, he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Sources have told Mount Vernon Exposed that United Black Clergy President Troy DeCohen continues to align himself with criminal and former School Board Trustee Omar McDowell.  McDowell was arrested and charged after he was captured on video after he violently assaulted Community Activist Samuel L. Rivers.  UBC President Troy DeCohen has even given McDowell a more prominent role in the UBC.   This is the new Mount Vernon.

Extortion and the United Black Clergy go hand in hand.  United Black Clergy henchmen Henry May’s role with The Mount Vernon School district, while scores plummeted, taxes tripled, and an entire generation of children were destroyed, is troubling

Henry May’s connections, helped secure a no questions asked $75,000 job for his daughter, Donna Jackson. Jackson would be ushered in to serve as  Superintendent of School Ken Hamilton’s executive assistant.   Mount Vernon Exposed began an investigation into Donna Jackson after receiving several complaints that Jackson was hired illegally and not in accordance with New York State Civil Service protocols. 

Mount Vernon Exposed requested Ms. Jackson’s resume under the Freedom of Information Law, but the district refuses to release it. For some strange reason Alice Patterson, the records access officer for the Mount Vernon City School District refuse not to not release Ms. Jackson’s resume and job application.  Not releasing this public information is in violation of New York State law.  Taxpayers will once again be left holding the bag due to the negligence of the United Black Clergy regime.

The political patronage position awarded Ms. Donna Jackson was never posted and no civil service exam was ever called for.  No other applicants were interviewed. Former School Board Trustee Elias Goodzeit who has strong ties to church officials, gave Donna Jackson a personal reference on her resume, which is inappropriate and an outright conflict of interest. Federal investigation need to look into the Gootzeit-Mays-Jackson connection to see if any monetary consideration was given or promised to Mr. Gootzeit for his kind gesture of providing Ms. Jackson with a personal reference.  Investigators should also look at all tabs and resolutions voted on by Gootzeit that had anything whatsoever to do with Judith Johnson and Donna Jackson.  Sources have told Mount Vernon Exposed that because Mr. Mays is a member of Grace Baptist Church, the headquarters of CEPA, is the reason his unqualified and inept daughter received her current job.

Formers Schools Chief  Judith Johnson informed the district that Donna Jackson would write grants.  As of today, no grants were written by Ms. Jackson. Sources informed Mount Vernon Exposed that Donna Jackson has no idea how to write a grant, and the grant writing claim was only fabricated, to justify her employment and illegally circumventing New York State civil service requirements. 

As you can see, the dots are connecting. The United Black Clergy and City Hall has too much influence in The Mount Vernon School system. Jobs, contracts, and kickbacks are the main goal of these groups. The test scores of Mount Vernon children are horrendous, and these groups are to blame.

A school system is put in place to educate children. Mount Vernon’s school district has failed them miserably, and has become a cesspool full of greedy people stealing from children and taxpayers.Mount Vernon Exposed challenges any Community Activist, Henry May, and members of the UBC, to explain how student performances have fell so far behind, almost to the point of no return and why property taxes have skyrocketed to the highest in the nation under their leadership.

Unfortunately, we have different types of Black Politicians, Church leaders, and Community Activists than we had 40 years ago. Our leaders in the past really cared about our community, and did not exploit those who were vulnerable.  The churches and City Hall should immediately remove themselves from the stranglehold they have on our school district. They should apologize for damaging the lives of so many of our youth. They should compensate the tens of thousands of people who were cheated out of an education. They should repay the taxpayers who funded this fraud. They should also buy back the homes of grandmothers and others who were kicked to the curb because they could not pay their taxes.

The UBC Goes Down In Defeat

The United Black Clergy (UBC) received a crushing defeat in yesterday’s school board election. Their Candidate, Kevin Bunch was strongly rejected by Mount Vernon voters. Adriane Saunders, Rosemarie Jarosz, and Dr. Serigne Gningue won re-election, and will serve another 3-year term.

These bands of corrupt Ministers were rejected by the voters of Mount Vernon, as well as by members of their congregation. They destroyed the school district from 1997-2013 and tried to make a come back, and once again steal bond money. UBC President, Bishop Collie Edwars is out of touch with the issues. He and The UBC need to stay out of our school system.

This trio of board members hitched their wagon to Ministers who are hell bent on destroying the district. They should resign. If not, next year this time, voters of Mount Vernon desperate for a better Mount Vernon, will vote them out of office.

Ms. Farquharson also hitched her wagon to Corrupt Ministers. Voters want churches out of politics, and Ms. Farquson can’t seem to get that message. Voters will send her a message loud and clear, and reject Delia Farquharson’s bid for a City Council seat next year.

Maureen Walker

The winds of politics in Mount Vernon have changed. Maureen Walker is constantly on the wrong side of the will of the people of this city. Banding together with The UBC to bring down a very successful school board was a big mistake.

Once an embarrassment, Mount Vernon’s school district received a big victory yesterday. With a great Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Hamilton, and a competent honest board, our district has a great future.

Mount Vernon Exposed has received information from a credible source that the U.S. Justice Department has opened up an investigation in the spending of past school bond money, and the illegal activity of a few churches in Mount Vernon. Residents have flooded their office with complaints.

Past school board elections were stolen by church officials desperate to control contracts and jobs. Mount Vernon residents are concerned that election fraud will happen again this year. Thieves are lining themselves up to get their hands on the current bond, and will do anything to win this election.

Trustee Omar McDowell is already applying pressure to school officials and hoping to award contracts to shady characters. Mount Vernon taxpayers are terrified at the prospect that this $108 million bond will experience the same fate as past bonds. Most of the current board members have performed a great job revitalizing the school district, but are few are hell bent on hitching their wagon to crooked ministers who want to steal money.  In no other community are churches involved in the school district like what is going on in Mt Vernon. After devastating the school system from 1997-2013, these crooked Ministers are back to raid our bond money once again. Enough is enough.

It will be great to see a few past and current corrupt board members, along with their rogue Minister counterparts, being carted off to jail.

United Black Clergy Admits To Targeting Board Members

Mount Vernon Exposed caught up with United Black Clergy President Bishop Collie Edwars after he contacted Mount Vernon Exposed regarding a recent story. Mt Vernon Exposed reported that the Bishop offered support for Kevin Bunch, in exchange for the new board’s support for Bishop Edwars’ plan to establish a charter school. Friendship Worship Center is located on Lincoln, Avenue, on the north side of Mount Vernon.

First, let me make this very clear, most of the over 400 churches in Mt Vernon have honorable Pastors, who do great work in our city. Only four churches have crossed the line into illegal actives. Those churches have hurt Mt Vernon’s School District, causing a generation of children to go uneducated.

 The conversation with the Bishop was extremely troubling to say the least.  It is very clear that Bishop Edwars is self-serving, tone deaf, and is not very educated when it comes to the issues affecting the citizens of Mount Vernon.  The Bishop constantly replies with false innuendo and bizarre statements, yet his group of four Ministers wants to take over our school district.

Bishop Edwars answered questions regarding his plans to establish a charter school in the City of Mount Vernon.  The Bishop stated that his application has been pushed back (denied) three times by the State, because the Mount Vernon City School District is on the “upswing”.  If the school district is on the upswing, as stated by Bishop Edwars, why is there a need to open up a charter school?  Historically speaking, Charter Schools were created because of failing school districts.  The purpose was to give parents an alternative to costly private school tuition. Additionally, if the school district is on an upswing, why is there a need to change one of the best boards we have had in the last 30 years.

Mount Vernon Exposed pointed out to Bishop Edwars, that if his plot goes through, and he gets his hand picked candidate elected, the Bishop could circumvent the New York State Board of Regents by having the school board vote to approve his charter school.  The Bishop disagreed, or was playing dumb that he didn’t know such power was vested in the school board.

The most outrageous revelation in the interview was Bishop Edwars admitted that the UBC is targeting Dr. Gningue and Ms. Jarosz, and is spearing their running mate.  This explains why the UBC’s handpicked moderators harshly treated this group at the debates. Nowhere in America does this happen. This type of behavior is the main reason our school system and city continually fails. Those debates were an embarrassment, and Ministers responsible for the debacle need to step down. People of God do not target people. Our elected officials deserve the decency of not being disrespected.

The churches always contend that the board favors north side schools, even though north side schools are full with south side students. His contention that no school on the south side has a k-8 program is not true.  Graham elementary school was the first school to have k-8 implemented. It is scary that Bishop Edwars did not know that Graham is located on the south side of Mt Vernon.

Mt Vernon’s Board should be applauded for cleaning up the mess these churches caused from 1997-2013. No other community has Pastors bullying their way into school systems. We need federal intervention. Most churches are good, but these rogue Pastors need to be stopped.

We should not be spending a dime on the new bond while accused bond thieves are trying to wrestle control of the school board.  Enough is enough.

Churches Plan to Steal The School Bond

It has been 14 years since Mount Vernon voters passed the ill fated $100 million bond. The 2002 bond was looted, and Longfellow Middle School and Grimes Elementary School were poorly constructed, and are now falling apart.

Prior to 1997, the Italian Community Association (ICA) had a strangle hold on the school board. Rev. Franklyn Richardson, of Grace Baptist church and a few other Ministers, who called themselves CEEPA, received a higher calling to rescue Mount Vernon from these bad Italians. CEEPA claimed black kids were being treated unfairly. The higher calling must not have been from God, because CEEPA destroyed Mt Vernon’s educational system. Under church control, Mt Vernon’s School District imploded, and more children went to jail than to college.

In 2002, Mount Vernon’s voters approved a $100 million bond. CEEPA’s board members eliminated oversite of the bond by terminating the buildings and grounds department, and money went missing.

The construction of Longfellow Middle School and Grimes Elementary School were performed with substandard materials, and left unfinished. Twelve years after their completion, these schools are a mess, and huge sums of money are needed to make necessary repairs.

Last November, Mount Vernon Exposed warned the citizens of Mount Vernon about voting for the proposed $108 million bond. The majority of the current board members have done a fantastic job, but bad people will never stay away while $108 million is floating around Mount Vernon.

Sources say that Rev Richardson and the United Black Clergy (UBC) have quietly positioned themselves to once again destroy the district. A relatively unknown person by the name of Kevin Bunch, decided to run for School Board Trustee in the upcoming May, 17^th election. This appears to be a very innocent and noble decision by Mr. Bunch, until you peel back the top layer and unveil the sick truth. Kevin Bunch is being pushed to run by the UBC (formally known as CEEPA}

Sources say that UBC members calculate that a Bunch victory would tip the power of the board. This will allow them to control $108 million, which is slated to improve the school district. Sources close to the UBC have informed Mount Vernon Exposed, that they are targeting Trustee Dr. Serigne Gningue to be replaced by Bunch.

Comptroller Maureen Walker has turned her back on the citizens of Mount Vernon. She has been on the wrong side of the people of Mount Vernon the past few years. Walker has punished seniors, as well as struggling homeowners, by foreclosing on our most vurnalable citizens. Sources say Walker has made herself rich by wheeling and dealing properties she forecloses on, and sells them to friends for pennies on the dollar. Her resent action on the sale of the Mount Vernon Music School is shameful. Maureen Walker has single handedly destroyed Mount Vernon property values. Walker is also supporting the UBC and Bunch.

The Mount Vernon school system has made tremendous strides the past few years. Gone are the thuggish, uneducated board members, who were tied to thieves. Superintendent, Dr. Kenneth Hamilton and most of the current board members have been game changers for the district. Taxes have remained within the tax cap, the state has rewarded homeowners with refunds, and children are being educated. If left alone, the district’s future is bright.

Mount Vernon Exposed warned you about greed, and about passing a $108 million bond in Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon Exposed believes that if a full investigation of past bonds were performed, some of the clergy meddling in this election would be behind bars. Mount Vernon Exposed wants the UBC to stay out of the school district. If they are truly interested in helping children, they need to open their churches in the evenings to help keep children off the street.

The School Board voted in several safeguards to assure that this bond would be used appropriately. However, they did not take into account the sick disease called Mount Vernon corruption.

It is no secret that The Feds are looking into corruption in Mt Vernon. The biggest catch they can make, is investigating the thievery perpetrated on the children of Mount Vernon. It is time people go to jail for their crimes.
