On Wednesday, February 9^th, 2011 the Mount Vernon City Council voted 3-1 to sell a property owned by the City of Mount Vernon to the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce for a measly $11K.  Councilwoman Roberta Apuzzo voted no and Council President Karen Watts abstained from voting.  Council President Watts and Councilwoman Apuzzo appear to be the only persons on the council with a conscience at this time.

Information was also presented to the council that every meeting held by the Real Estate Committee was an illegal meeting and in violation of NYS Public Officers law.  Mount Vernon Exposed Publisher vowed to take legal against the City of Mount Vernon for the blatant violations of law.  The meetings of the real estate committee were not posted on the City of Mount Vernon’s website as required by law.

§104. Public notice.

1. Public notice of the time and place of a meeting scheduled at least one week prior thereto shall be given to the news media and shall be conspicuously posted in one or more designated public locations at least seventy-two hours before such meeting.
2. Public notice of the time and place of every other meeting shall be given, to the extent practicable, to the news media and shall be conspicuously posted in one or more designated public locations at a reasonable time prior thereto.
3. The public notice provided for by this section shall not be construed to require publication as a legal notice.
4. If videoconferencing is used to conduct a meeting, the public notice for the meeting shall inform the public that videoconferencing will be used, identify the locations for the meeting, and state that the public has the right to attend the meeting at any of the locations. 

5. When a public body has the ability to do so, notice of the time and place of a meeting given in accordance with subdivision one or two of this section, shall also be conspicuously posted on the public body's internet website

The City of Mount Vernon was forewarned by a NYS Supreme Court Justice about posting notices of meeting on an ad-hoc basis.  City Clerk George Brown said on the record that he did not post meetings to the City website.  George Brown also refused to give the packet reviewed by the City Council to Mount Vernon Exposed™®.  Clerk George Brown said that the information was confidential.  However, a Good Samaritan in City Hall provided Mount Vernon Exposed™® with the necessary documents to keep city residents informed of the doings in City Hall.
Information was presented to the City Council that a letter was sent to the United States Attorneys’ office demanding an investigation into the President of the Chamber of Commerce and the Assessor of Mount Vernon.  Information has surfaced that the President of the Chamber of Commerce is business partners with the Assessor in Mount Vernon who is frequently called a crook by many City of Mount Vernon residents.  Many details about the letter provided to the United States Attorney’s will not be provided to the public to prevent the obstruction of any pending investigation.  

The three blind mice (Councilpersons’ Edwards, Horton, and Munro-Morris) voted to continue corruption in the City of Mount Vernon.  To be continued………

Conflicts of Interests are nothing new in government in the City of Mount Vernon.  It is because of conflicts of interests and self serving politicians that citizens no longer trust their governments.  For far too long, politicians have treated the citizenry as if they worked for them when in actuality, the politicians work for the people.  Citizens and taxpayers are no longer sitting back while their pockets continue to get picked by greedy and corrupt politicians.  Revolts against tyranny are happening all around the world with the most active revolt going on right now in Egypt.  It is only a matter of time before the revolution hits the City of Mount Vernon.  Citizens in Mount Vernon pay the highest taxes in Westchester County and all they have to show for is a broken government and broken schools.

One may ask how did Mount Vernon get to this point?  Elders often talk about the glory days of Mount Vernon when South 4^th Avenue was the epicenter of shopping for the region.  Nowadays, people only say they go to South 4^th Avenue to buy hair products and get their nails done.  When Mount Vernon was in its “glory days” the Republicans were in control.  When the Democrats took over in the early 70’s things took a turn for the worse.  The Democratic Party is directly responsible for the quality of life today in Mount Vernon.  Every elected official currently serving in Mount Vernon is a Democrat. 

Coincidence right?  Not at all.  In fact, Democrats and poverty go together like peanut butter and jelly.  High taxes, blame it on the Democrats.  Excessive spending, blame it on the Democrats.  Statistics show that the poorest cities in America are controlled by Democrats.  Again this is no coincidence. 

•          Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
•          Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn’t elected one since 1954;
•          Cincinnati, OH (3rd)…since 1984;
•          Cleveland, OH (4th)…since 1989;
•          Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;
•          St. Louis, MO (6th)….since 1949;
•          El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
•          Milwaukee, WI (8th)…since 1908;
•          Philadelphia, PA (9th)…since 1952;
•          Newark, NJ (10th)…since 1907.

Albert Einstein once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”  It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats, yet are still disadvantaged.  So why is this relevant to the City of Mount Vernon one may ask?  Mount Vernon hasn’t elected a Non-Democrat as Mayor in almost 30 years.  

On Monday, January 31, 2011 the City Council held their monthly radio show on WVOX.   Mike Skylar, a Mount Vernon resident phoned in with a concern about a potential conflict of interest on the Mount Vernon City Council.  Mr. Skylar asked the Council members if it was a conflict of interest that Councilman Steven Horton and Councilman Yuhanna Edwards were Chair and Co-Chairs of the Public Works and Legislation committees.  Councilwoman Roberta Apuzzo quickly answered NO and attempted to change the subject.  Mr. Skylar was quickly dismissed and the call was ended. 

Mount Vernon Exposed™® however does feel there is a conflict interest for the following reasons,

•          DPW Commissioner Terrence Horton is the brother of Councilman Steve Horton
•          Councilman Yuhanna Edwards was a former business partner with Joan Horton, the mother of    Terrence and Steve Horton

Mount Vernon Exposed­­™® has been seeking answers about who appoints individuals to these committees.  We have not been successful in our search for the truth.  It appears these days that the Mount Vernon City Council is impeding the citizen’s right to free speech and their right to transparency. 

Many things have changed this year.  Citizens are no longer given a speaker list during council meetings.  Mount Vernon Exposed™® was told that this was being done to protect the public from “unscrupulous bloggers.”  However the bright person that came up with this idea forgot that this information can be sought with a simple Freedom of Information Request, the citizen’s subpoena.  Councilman Yuhanna Edwards during the last City Council meeting responded to Community Activist Samuel L. Rivers stating it is because of the topics Rivers’ chooses to speak about is why the new ban is in effect.   Other council members did not respond when questioned about their new rule restricting free speech of the public.  In the past Rivers’ chose to speak about such topics as “Political Prostitution, Tom Foolery, and Corruption on the City Council”.  

The City Council did not stop there.  Thomas Courtney, who is a Yonkers resident who frequently comes to City Council meetings, also had his civil rights violated. Courtney has been banned from attending City Council meetings simply because City Council members did not agree with his style of free speech.  Courtney chose a style of singing his message to the City Council.  Once again taxpayers will be holding the bag for reckless actions on the part of elected officials in the City of Mount Vernon.   It appears that tyranny is alive and well in the City of Mount Vernon.

A massive letter writing campign is under way to ask the New York State Department of Housing and Community Renewal to deny funding to Atlantic Development for the construction of a massive low income housing complex in the middle of downtown Mount Vernon.

Along with all hearsay statements are entered into evidence in these horrendous courts  

How else could we find Mr. Sacco guilty when we have no proof

Innumerable “procedural errors” on purpose were produced

Muzzling any arguments so Mr. Sacco’s retained attorneys couldn’t be used

Denying all their motions, evidence and dragging the trial out four years

My friends Cambararie, Guttridge, Humphrey, Kolnik, cps Jamela Smith I allowed ramble on like auctioneers

I ended the trial abruptly, Sacco’s witnesses on the stand

I couldn’t hear any more of their testimony; they made his fatherhood seem so grand

When it came to giving him his last rights I figured I’d drowned him in sinking sand

Then I grabbed Assigned Attorney Daniel Pagano in the hall to take Mr. Sacco by the hand

Not giving him time to get familiar with the case

I was sure to have an outcome that I thought no one could trace

Do I have to beat it into you? Can’t you see by now, I’m a total disgrace!

But I’m not done yet with my dirty tricks

When Pagano filed the Appeal papers in the clerk’s office downstairs it took its licks

We lost the papers don’t you see, this “parental alienation” thing feels good to me.

So now, Mr. Sacco, what do you think?

 I kidnapped your kid and gave him to a fink!

CORRUPT FAMILY COURT JUDGE KATHIE DAVIDSON TO BE HONORED AT BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT; MOTHER OF MURDER SUSPECT HAS DIRECT TIES WITH JUDGE DAVIDSON

Corrupt Westchester Family Court Judge Kathie Davidson

Mount Vernon Exposed™® has learned that a complaint has been filed with the commission on judicial conduct against Westchester County Supervising Judge Kathie Davidson for conduct on and off the bench that led to the death of a 2 year old New Rochelle infant.  

It appears from recent news reports that Westchester County Family Court Judge Kathie Davidson has followed in the footsteps of her colleague, Judge Horowitz.  Judge Horowitz rose to fame when she was sanctioned in 2005 when she tried to get her friends favorable outcomes on cases that were presently before other Judges in Westchester County Family Court.  

Now, also like her counterpart Judge Horowitz, who was promoted to Acting Supreme Court after her act of corruption, Judge Kathie Davidson is be honored on February 16 at Westchester Community College, Academic Arts Building Theater in Valhalla, NY. The program is free and will run from 6-9 p.m.

The following awards will be presented:

• “The Betty Shabazz Award” - Honorable Kathie Davidson, a supervising Family Court Judge.
• The Madame C. J. Walker Award” - Wiley Harrison, a Certified Public Accountant and Businessman.
• “The Whitney Young Award” - Pennye Nash, a Health and Human Service Professional

Mount Vernon Exposed™® has received many calls in recent weeks regarding unethical conduct on the part of Judge Kathie Davidson.  Judge Davidson is the long time girlfriend of embattled City of Mount Vernon Mayor Clinton Young and is frequently seen attending events in and around the City of Mount Vernon in support of her beau.  

Many people question the intellect and reason Judge Davidson was promoted so quickly to Supervising Judge for Family Court 9^th Judicial District.  Recent news articles describe Judge Davidson as being political savvy.  Mount Vernon Exposed™® has also received credible information including an email from someone claiming to be a neighbor of Judge Davidson suggesting that she slept her way to the top.  

In the email, the neighbor wrote that Judge Davidson slept with Westchester County Chairman Reginald LaFayette to get the nomination for Westchester County Family Court.  Mount Vernon Exposed™® has since spoken with Chairman LaFayette and he said those allegations were not true.

But since Mount Vernon Exposed™® ran an earlier article about Judge Davidson more information about her past has come to light.  Sources told Mount Vernon Exposed the Judge Davidson was also allegedly involved in an affair with then Supervising Judge on the 9^th Judicial District Francis Nicolai.  Judge Nicolai appears to be quite the playboy as it has also been confirmed that he and Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore travelled to Italy together quite possibly courtesy of Westchester County taxpayers.  Judge Davidson and Janet DiFiore are very close friends.  

Judge Davidson as told by court staff and court officers does not appear to be a very competent Judge and comes from the same political camp as two other Judges whose inept thinking has led to the deaths of other children.

Judge Horowitz was the Judge behind the murder of the 9 year old girl murdered in Mount Vernon by her father.  Judge Horowitz issued an order of protection that didn’t immediately vacate her ex-husband even the wife complained on several occasions about death threats she received from her ex-husband.

Information has also surfaced that the mother of Richard Leak, the individual charged in the killing of his 2 year old son is politically connected to the Democrats in New Rochelle.  Please check out the following blog from New Rochelle.
